There are numerous hot springs hotels in the Beitou area of Taipei, Taiwan. Some of which are actually hotspring resorts, complete with spa centres and fine dining. However you need to keep note that some of the hot springs hotels in Beitou do not offer real natural hotsprings in their facilities, as some of them simply pump boiling tap water and just mix sulfur powder instead. After researching some of the hotspring resorts online and also from various travel guides, I have managed to find one pretty decent hot springs hotel to stay at in Beitou.
The hotel I found was a place called SweetMe Hotspring Resort, and it was located about 5 minutes walk from the Xinbeitou MRT train station. It was a pretty decent hotel which was rated about 4 to 4.5 stars. The best thing about this hotel is that it has a private hotsprings bath in your own bedroom, pumping the natural hot spring water directly to your bathroom. We chose the Japanese suite, which was kind of cool.

The hotsprings tub in action! The moment you turn it on, you can smell the sulfur from the hotspring water.
The price of the room we stayed at was about 169 USD per night. It also included free use of the public hot spring facilities in the hotel. I recommend checking out the public hot spring facilities, as they include a sauna, steam room, and numerous hot spring pools of varying degrees of temperature. The thing to take note is that in the public facilities, they are separated between males only and females only, and you must be completely naked! On top of that there was a spa facility that offers massages, but you will need to pay extra. I went there and took a 1 hour massage package, and found it to be quite decent and reasonbly priced.
Lastly, also included in the hotel room price was breakfast for two people, which served typical Taiwanese breakfast, along with Western styled breakfast such as egg omlettes. Therefore, considering the fact you have your own private hot spring tub (with REAL hot spring water) in your room that you can use as much as you want, plus the free use of the public facilities and breakfast, and that this hotel had great quality, then this price I found was pretty well worth it.
